FAQ: Why are RateBeer ratings lower than on the website? Ratebeer used to only display the number of reviews and a "weighted average" of the beer which is typically lower than the regular average. They recently switched to a different system. You can view the weighted average if clicking on "More statistics" in their website. This discrepancy does not affect the ranking of the beers, because BeerVision uses a percentile system per website.
