The project can only be worked on in my spare time but I do try to help people who email me with problems they are having. Application to display Bitcoin Price information sourced from Bitcoin Charts:

On start up the application will download the current prices. The user can then set up Home screen widgets with any of the listed markets. The widgets will update every 15 minutes, this can be changed in Settings. Widgets can be selected to display the full market details.

We have had quite a few comments about the amount of data usage. Unfortunately Bitcoin Charts that supply the data for this app only allow downloading all the exchanges as one large block and the size of this increase as new exchanges are added. Their server does not appear to support compression which makes this more of a problem. At the time of writing July 2013 with Bitcoin Prices 1.3.3, each update uses approximately 30kB of data. So with an Update Frequency of 15 minutes and a few manual updates during the day, the app can consume over 3MB/day.

We do provide a 'WiFi Only' option but appreciate that a WiFi Access Point is not always available.
