Description
Inspired by a famous Bitcoin puzzle first published by a BitcoinTalk user, this app is an experimental tool for visually exploring the private key space.
The app uses a unique approach: instead of working with hexadecimal strings and raw numbers, the user interacts with a graphical matrix. Each cell of the matrix corresponds to a specific bit or group of bits in a 256-bit private key. By changing the cell states (including inclusion, inversion, rotation, and random generation), the user effectively generates a new key, which is then converted into a public key and a Bitcoin address.
The main idea is to demonstrate the scale of the cryptographic space and clearly demonstrate the enormous number of possible combinations. Even with visual guidance, the probability of a random match with a specific existing key remains astronomically small. The app emphasizes the educational aspect: understanding the principles of elliptic curve cryptography, public key generation, and address formation on the Bitcoin network.
