Description by IntellectX Written by the developer, not by AppBrain. Click to read.
The app works out time in range, estimated A1c and meal spikes from what you record, and keeps it all on your phone.
GLUCOSE TRACKING
• 6 reading types: Fasting, Pre-meal, Post-meal 1h, Post-meal 2h, Bedtime and Nighttime
• mg/dL or mmol/L, chosen at setup and changeable in your profile
• Graph of your last 14 readings, with a trend arrow on each reading
• Time in Range gauge for 70–180 mg/dL (goal: over 70% of readings)
• Each reading is checked against its own target, with short guidance on what to do next
• Logbook with filters by reading type, delete for single entries and clear all
MEALS, CARBS AND SPIKES
• Add a meal note plus carbs, protein, fiber and fat (grams) to any reading
• Attach a meal photo from your gallery with the system photo picker
• Spike pairing: a post-meal reading is matched with your pre-meal or fasting reading from the previous 3 hours, and the rise is shown on the meal
• Top post-meal spikes list, so the meals that raise your glucose most stand out
• Glycemic food guide with 10 common foods (rice, roti, idli, dal, oats, fruit, chai and more), each with GI level, carbs per serving and a tip
INSIGHTS AND REPORTS
• Estimated A1c for 30, 60 and 90 days, from your average glucose (eAG formula)
• PDF report with time in range, average, estimated A1c and a reading table, ready to share with your doctor
• CSV export of every reading in mg/dL and mmol/L with meal context, carbs and notes, for Excel or Google Sheets
LOW SUGAR SAFETY
• Alert and notification when a reading is below 70 mg/dL (urgent below 54)
• 15-15 rule steps, a 15-minute recheck timer and a list of 15 g fast-carb options
• Tips for high readings and reference targets based on ADA guidance
• Emergency Medical ID: name, age, sex, diabetes type and treatment plan
REMINDERS AND PRIVACY
• Optional daily reminders for the fasting check (7:30) and the bedtime check (22:00)
• Night, Day or Auto theme
• Readings, meals and photos are stored only on your device and are not uploaded unless you share an export
WHO IT IS FOR
• Type 2 diabetes: link meals and portions to post-meal numbers
• Type 1, LADA and insulin users: keep a clear record of lows and bedtime readings
• Pre-diabetes and gestational diabetes: daily glucose logs for your next appointment
• Family members who help a parent or partner keep blood sugar logs
HOW TO USE IT
1. Pick your unit and diabetes type during setup
2. Tap + (Log reading), choose the reading type and set the value
3. Add the meal, carbs and a photo if you like, then save
4. After eating, add a Post-meal 1h or 2h reading to see the spike
5. Before a doctor visit, export a PDF or CSV
FAQ
How do I track blood sugar after meals?
Save a Pre-meal reading, eat, then add a Post-meal 1h or 2h reading. The app shows the rise for that meal.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Logging, insights and exports work without internet, and no account is needed.
Can I use mmol/L?
Yes. Choose mg/dL or mmol/L; CSV exports include both.
Can I share my glucose logs with my doctor?
Yes. Export a PDF report or CSV file and send it with any app on your phone.
How is estimated A1c calculated?
From your average glucose: A1c = (average + 46.7) / 28.7. A lab A1c test is still the reference.
Does it connect to a glucometer or CGM?
No. You type in readings from any meter.
What happens if I record a low?
Below 70 mg/dL you get an alert, the 15-15 steps and a 15-minute recheck timer.
Blood Sugar Log is a record-keeping tool, not a medical device, and does not give diagnosis or treatment. Follow your healthcare professional's plan, and get urgent help for a severe low, confusion or fainting.
