I think the bom app to be good, I don't see that much difference to the way it was, but it shows good radar images and information about wind and temperature, usually accurate forecasts.

Poorly optimized, hangs on the front screen (Samsung S26). Widget also often doesn't display data.

Buggy at the moment and overall navigation feels unpolished and clunky. The biggest issue is the widgets do not update automatically, makes them pointless. Now the app itself, despite having location access in the background, needs to refresh each and every open. If the location is inside, or the device has poor mobile signal/GPS there seems to be several seconds before anything updates. Accurate forecasts, however, but the radar doesn't always work.
