Book of Dead

Log 📝 donated seed lots, run germination tests and track what you can share 🤝.

Book of Dead helps a seed library 📚 keep its collection in order. Log 📝 each donation, test how well the seeds sprout and record every packet that goes out.

Each donated lot gets its own card with the crop, variety, donor, harvest year 🗓️, quantity and isolation notes 📝. Intake codes are assigned for you, and you can change the code format in settings.

Start 🚀 a germination test on any lot, then enter how many seeds sprouted. A dial shows the pass rate against the threshold for that crop group. The app 📱 suggests release, hold or reject, and you confirm the decision.

With Book of Dead you can:
- Follow lots through the intake pipeline: received, testing, released, held or rejected
- See 👀 which towels are due to be read and which lots need attention
- Search 🔍 and filter 🎚️ lots by status or crop group
- Check ✅ stock for each lot, with seeds in tests, seeds released and seeds remaining
- Look up isolation distances and test times in a built-in crop reference, and add your own crops
- Set pass thresholds and hold bands for each crop group
- Build 🔨 a library 📚 register for any date range, grouped by crop group or harvest year 🗓️

Book of Dead is made for seed library 📚 volunteers and home seed savers who want a clear record of what they hold and how well it grows. Your lots and tests are kept on your device 📱.
