I usually got my audiobooks from the library. Most times the books I want I have to wait weeks for. The authors on Book Funnel are new; I really like them. I like helping authors instead of the middleman. I like that you can read one book after the other.

Very helpful to shift books to kindle. I don't read them with this app as I don't like how it reads
★★★★☆Thomas Futrell· Dec 28, 2025
Easy access to audiobooks. There is, however, an issue I have come across on quite literally EVERY book in my library. On the first listen of any book, it will ALWAYS skip from the start of chapter 1 to chapter 2. It could be 10 seconds in or a minute 45, and then it'll go directly to chapter 2 without fail. Rewinding goes back to where it left off in chapter 1 and the rest goes without issue
★★★★☆Ian Myers· Jul 18, 2026
On the whole, Book funnel in fine. However, will you please fix it so the brightness when reading a book doesn't control the brightness of the whole phone. My phone's adaptive brightness is perfectly capable of that by itself
★★☆☆☆Sam Harding· Aug 26, 2026
I liked it better before the recent update. The screen no longer gets dark enough to read comfortably at night. And the app often crashes while trying to adjust the brightness.
★★☆☆☆Terry Townsend· Jun 30, 2026
The app is not user-friendly or intuitive. It will not display book series in the order of release, and I have not found a way to manually reorder the books. It's annoying having to dig through all of a series to find which book you're currently listening to. Also, the app opens to a screen asking you for a book code rather than the player. I can't really recommend the player, but there are some series you just have to use it for.

Just had update, now app keeps saying am in airplane mode or will not log in, and I have to try over and over to get book on there! Worked great before, plus don't like new look either. ☹️☹️☹️
★☆☆☆☆Heather Cameron· Dec 28, 2025
Clunky, the send to Kindle option does not work. You have to send to another app to download the EPUB, THEN GO BACK to hit send to kindle, find your file, then send it to Kindle. It works but it's a pain.
