Borders of Rome: Hex Tactics

Command Rome's legions in a turn-based strategy game fought across a hex battlefield. Cut enemy supply lines, predict combat before you attack, and break through to capture their capital.

There are no random combat rolls. Victory comes from positioning, planning, and knowing when to attack — or when to cut the enemy off instead.

CUT THEIR SUPPLY LINES
- An army needs a connection to its supply sources.
- Capture the hexes linking enemy troops to their capital and villas. Units isolated from every supply source are destroyed when their next turn begins.
- A smart territorial breakthrough can eliminate troops you could never defeat head-on. Protect your own routes while searching for weaknesses in the enemy line.

NO RANDOM COMBAT ROLLS
- See the outcome before committing to an attack.
- Support your troops with nearby units, use forests and hills to strengthen your position, build towers on important ground, and avoid vulnerable terrain.
- Combat is predictable, so every mistake — and every successful breakthrough — comes from the decisions you make.

BUILD YOUR ARMY AND INFRASTRUCTURE
- Recruit three unit tiers with different strengths and movement capabilities.
- Build villas to generate income, recruit troops, and establish supply sources. Balance expansion against army upkeep as the front line grows.
- Construct roads to extend your movement and bridges to open new routes across rivers.

CONQUER THE CAPITAL
- Destroying the enemy army is not your only path to victory.
- Claim territory, create openings in the front line, defend your own capital, and push through to capture theirs.

FIGHT THROUGH THE CAMPAIGN
- Advance through dozens of battle maps against an AI opponent that adjusts as you win and lose.
- Different terrain, river crossings, defensive positions, and supply routes force you to adapt your strategy from battle to battle.

PLAY SOLO OR LOCAL HOT SEAT
- Fight the single-player campaign against AI, or pass one device between two players in local Hot Seat battles as Rome and the barbarians.

PLAY OFFLINE
- Take your campaign anywhere. Battles run offline, progress is saved locally, and portrait controls keep the strategy focused on mobile play.
- A guided tutorial teaches the core mechanics before the campaign puts your tactical decisions to the test.
