Description
Klein Tools ET16 Borescope features a 9 mm camera surrounded by 6 LEDs attached to a 10-Foot (3 m) armored gooseneck cable. The digital camera has a USB Type-C (and micro-USB) connection for most Android® (OTG 4.0 or higher) smartphones and devices. The camera and video output is displayed on the Android® device using the free Klein Tools ET16 Borescope App. The ET16 does not require batteries; it is powered by a device connection.
Recent changes:
After the user declines camera access, the app shows a prompt that it is required and will lock the user out of the app. If the user closes or reopens the app, it prompts the user again to accept access, if it is declined, the same warning is shown. The user then will need to go to settings > apps > ET16 and allow camera access

I have an older Samsung Android phone. I downloaded this app, plugged the Klein Horoscope into my phone's USB-C, said 'Yes' to all permissions pop-ups. The app opened and the boro camera image came right up. It's easy to adjust brightness and other settings.

Not bad, ran into a little problem when I had the scope plugged in first and the app not picking it up. All I did was unplug it, then plug it back into the phone with the app already open. Connected right up and was good to go! There may be a manual that originally came with it that probably tells you that, we bought it at a garage sale for like $20. But it's not needed, just download the app and plug it in, and your good to go. Minimal knowledge or experience to use.

So far so good! Installed it on my Galaxy s24 about 10 minutes ago - - instantly produced clear pictures and works just fine. About time somebody came up with a tool and application like this one! Bought the borescope/mechanical unit from a big box hardware store for under $40 -- great improvement compared to freestanding units that cost hundreds more. (I'd expect no less from Klein Tools, one of America's oldest and best manufacturers.)

This was so ridiculous. Could not get the E16 endoscope to work with the Klein app. Download another app called USB Endoscope Camera for Samsung, and you should be good to go.

This application does not work at all.... I'm going to use this product one time. Once you plug in the USB-C there's no video, it only takes me to the apps' menu, but there's no display of anything. I WISH I COULD GIVE A ZERO

Does not work on my phones (with an s). Installed, removed, re-installed... Tried the different combinations of the camera plugged in vs not with both installations and app opening. Nada. But it will definitely suck down battery with the light. Unfortunately, it does not recognize the camera at all, so I could not actually use the camera or the app. I'm pretty disappointed.
