Brancha — Family Tree Maker

Brancha is a private, offline-first family tree maker. Every name, date, photo and note lives on your device. No account, no sign-in, no cloud, nothing uploaded to us — ever.

BUILD YOUR TREE
• Add people, relationships, marriages and life events
• Flexible dates: approximate, partial, ranges, even BCE and dual "1731/32" years
• Places with on-device geocoding; sources and citations with confidence levels
• Notes, custom facts, tags, colour labels and alternate names
• Quick-add relatives, link people who are already in your tree, merge duplicates

SEE IT
• Interactive pan-and-zoom tree canvas with living, growing branch connectors
• Pedigree, descendant, hourglass and fan-chart layouts
• Per-person timeline view and an antique parchment family map
• Consistency checks flag impossible dates and implausible parent ages

INSIGHTS
• Tree statistics and pedigree completeness at a glance
• Relationship calculator — "your great-grandmother", "second cousin once removed"
• Upcoming birthdays and wedding anniversaries, plus an "On this day" home-screen widget

PHOTOS
• Import from your gallery, set portraits, add captions and dates
• On-device face detection and tagging
• Built-in document scanner and text recognition for records and certificates

SHARE & BACK UP — YOU'RE IN CONTROL
• Export charts to PNG, JPG, PDF (with poster tiling) and SVG
• Ahnentafel, descendant, family group sheet and narrative "family book" reports
• GEDCOM 5.5.1 and 7.0 import and export; GEDZIP with media
• Full JSON and ZIP backups saved wherever you choose

MADE WITH CARE
• Material 3 Expressive design with a warm, natural "tree" look
• Full dark mode and seasonal themes
• Optional biometric app lock and a "hide living people" option for sharing

Brancha is free and core features are never locked. You can optionally watch one short rewarded video to unlock a single high-resolution, watermark-free export — that is the only ad in the app, and it is always your choice.
