Update: The below issues have been addressed. The app does not save favorite recipes. You lose your favorites after refreshing the list or reopening the app. Besides, the Last Cooked list is also a hit-and-miss. It shows some cooked recipes, but many others cooked recipes are missing. The devs definitely should have done a better job at testing.

This device has changed my life in terms of eating. This is a perfect entry level sous vide because they have recipes that work exactly for you. Once you learn how to use it well, you can just set time and temperature. But I recommend following their recommended settings for quite some time before you head off on your own. Enjoy yourself and the 48-hour ribs are unbelievable

My Joule Sous Vide was acquired by Greville, so I had to switch to this app to control it. Then I bought a Greville Combi Wave 3-in-1, and tried to use this app for air fryer recipes. But it won't show me any recipes except sous vide recipes unless I register my new device. However, the app doesn't know about my device, so I can't register it! Do I get to see their air fryer french fries recipe? NOPE! How useless.

I'm another dissatisfied Joule backer being forced to use the Greville+ app because they are sun-setting the dedicated Joule app early next year. The app itself isn't terrible IF I HAD A GREVILLE OVEN, which I do not. It looks like they just shoehorned support for the sous vide and buried the UI where it's not user-friendly. I'm guessing they offshore the app development to a country where they don't have access to a Joule or Greville stick or whatever they call it now.

My sous vide worked just fine on the joule app. Using Brevill, it won't connect over Wi-Fi, it can't connect over Bluetooth, it's just a paper weight. I shouldn't have to call tech support to cook chicken breast at 145° for 2 to 3 hours.
