Description
Change your screen brightness with one tap. Choose a preset level, or use Auto mode if your device has a light sensor.
Brightness too dim or not matching your phone’s slider? On some devices, including some Samsung models, try the Linear brightness scale: 1. Open Brightness and tap the gear icon to open Settings. 2. Tap “Brightness scale”. 3. Select “Linear (compatibility override)” and tap “OK”. 4. Try the brightness buttons again.
Adapt Brightness to your device The Brightness scale setting offers Automatic, Linear, and Perceptual (gamma-style) options. Custom calibration is also available when needed to help match your presets to your device’s Quick Settings brightness slider. The scale setting is separate from Auto mode, which adjusts brightness to ambient light.
Customize your presets Press and hold any brightness button to change its value.
Simple and focused The app requires only one permission: to modify system settings. No ads and no other permissions. Brightness does one thing: it changes your screen brightness.

Alexy, thank you so much for updating the app to be able to use the gamma scale for brightness! It's a real game changer - now we are able to calibrate and control the brightness at the lower levels. Appreciate it so much. Just a thought, is it possible to consider adding another 3 slots to the presets? Or, allowing the use of a slider to set the brightness level directly (as using the perceptual scale) without the presets? Perhaps through a widget?

Updating from 3 to 5 stars. After many years the latest update has finally fixed the issue of the percentages not properly matched to system settings. Annoyed that it took so long, but there's no reason to complain anymore, the app is perfect now

I rarely give 5 star, usually 4 stars for a good useful app, coz there always appears room to improve. This app is 5 bcoz cannot think of way to improve, its perfect and does exactly what it says. TRY AND YOU'LL LOVE TOO

I don't like this updated on September 7th 2026 it messed up my brightness settings, and I HATE the yellow background with black numbers it SO HARD TO SEE IT! Because I'm legally blind please change back the way I like it, I don't like this new updated!
★★☆☆☆BIG DAVID· Sep 6, 2026
For whatever reason, since the last update it seems that the presets that I have used over the years is somewhat off, and quite a bit dimmer than before.
★☆☆☆☆Ramona Lazenby· Sep 9, 2026
Last update ruined it. It does not hold the percentage I tell it to. If I set to 25% it might look correct at first until you unlock your phone again, then it looks like 0-10%. And when I look at the app, it is still set to 25% and auto is off. FIX IT.
