Cairn: Sermon Notes & Recorder

Cairn is a sermon notes app for churchgoers and pastors who want to keep what they heard on Sunday. Type while the sermon is preached, and every Bible reference you write becomes a link to the passage itself.

A sermon happens once. Notes lost to a crash or an update cannot be taken again, so Cairn saves as you type, recovers a note if the app is closed halfway through, and lets you export everything you have written whenever you like.

TAKE CHURCH NOTES THAT STAY
• Your note is saved continuously, word by word.
• If the app is closed mid sermon, Cairn offers to restore the note the next time it opens.
• Export all your notes as text or as a PDF. Export is free and always will be.

EVERY VERSE, ONE TAP AWAY
• Write "Romans 8:28" or "John 3:16-18" and it becomes a verse chip linked to the passage.
• Read the whole chapter around it, or open the verse to see every note that cites it.
• The full Berean Standard Bible is built in and works offline, with section headings.
• Search your notes and the Bible together from one field.

SERMON RECORDER
• Record the message while you write. Recording keeps going with the screen locked.
• Play it back later beside your bible notes.
• Recordings stay on your phone unless you choose to transcribe one.

PRAYER REQUESTS
• Keep a list of the people and requests you are praying for, and mark the answers.

MADE TO BE READ
• Text scales with your phone's font size, all the way up to the largest setting.
• Light, Dark and Sanctuary themes. Sanctuary is dimmer than Dark, for reading in a low-lit room without lighting up the row behind you.

THE STUDY LAYER (ONE-TIME UNLOCK)
A single purchase unlocks the tools for deeper bible study notes:
• Word study: the Greek or Hebrew word behind each English word, with its Strong's number, transliteration and parsing.
• Cross-references for every verse, more than 340,000 in all.
• Sermon transcription: turn a recording into text you can read and search. The recording you choose to transcribe is sent securely to our transcription service and processed by OpenAI; it is not used to train models.
Pay once and it is yours. There is no subscription and there are no ads.

Notes, the Bible reader, recording, prayer requests and export are free with no time limit and no account.
