As an Irish native I have to say that the accent is uncannily good. The only TTS engine I could even contemplate having read to me.

My voice of choice. Cereproc makes excellent voices that are more naturally sounding than any other that I've used. I use Cereproc Caitlin on my Win 10 pc, and on my Note 7, and am now installing this voice on my Lenovo Yoga Book. With consistent performance on multiple devices with multiple OS configurations, I can't say enough about the technical performance. Where this voice really shines is in the warmth and vocal inflections that make your tts tasks feel as natural as human conversation.

This app does not work. I'm a fluent Irish Gaelic speaker and I uploaded some text and played it back. Unfortunately, it was 90% incomprehensible. Really pity, it would've been useful to me.

I tried the demo on the website where there are lots and lots of different voices to choose from to read your text, so I said OK, this is pretty cool, so I bought it. The paid version gives no different voice options at all, no settings menu, nothing. The one voice that reads your text back isn't even Irish. I immediately tapped refund. Deceptive, deceptive, deceptive. Ughhhh

This hasn't been updated in 5 years now, back before Android 10 was released. As a result it's no longer stable and has issues due to how old it is. Unfortunately, there's no better option for an Irish accented English TTS, but if you don't care about your TTS having an Irish accent, you should use "Evie - The voice book reader".

Hidden permission It is a beautiful voice, but with headphones you can hear it crackle and generally fuzzy. Also, according to permission finders such as 'permission friendly apps' there is a hidden security permission that makes me worried: WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS permission. Three out of three separate tools said it asked for this while it's not in the list of permissions here. Needless to say I'm worried and cannot suggest issuing it until it's been addressed
