Comments on CalApp: AI Calorie Tracker for Android

I love this app!!! I wish there were a few more features. For instance: not everyone uses oz for food weight tracking, I prefer grams personally; water tracking would be useful, cal limits per meal, and I'd love to be able to save/create meals... among other things. Additionally, integration with steps app to calculate calorie burn (possibly including tdee too?) would be awesome! I'd genuinely use a whole app ecosystem by y'all like fasting, workout, and/or weight tracking apps!!

I like the app but I hope you guys add more features like choosing when you like begin the week and fixing some glitches like in the eggs when you add more than 1 they double the calories any way thanks for this app and keep going 🙏🏾🤍

Genuinely a bothersome app to use. The AI itself almost never gets macros right. There's also a severe issue with editing calories and macros and even body weight logs where the app doesn't save them and keeps giving you a random number every time after you input the correct one. You input 60g of protein, save, and suddenly it shows 120g. 500kcal? The app will show you 1200kcal. Ridiculous. I found myself having to use another AI to summarize all the macros of my food and THEN input them.

This is completely nonsense, it shows the wrong calories and gives wrong information.

Extremely delusional with its calculation. Changing portion sizes just makes the math give up and come up with absurd numbers. For example: A slice of cheese on a slice of bread includes 130 calories. If you go back and change it to 2 servings suddenly the math jumps to the excess of 500 calories. Adjusting calories per 100g, or serving size, or number of servings often leads to wild numbers that give the impression that the calculator does not calculate things but vibes the numbers in.
