After figuring it out, love the camera and the app! Works flawlessly on my Samsung J7

★★★★★ cj heffron · Mar 21, 2021

App works just fine. Open your Wi-Fi and connect to the transmitter. Clear zoomable pic at over 1k yards.

★☆☆☆☆ LGM · Oct 13, 2021

Once you connect to receiver/transmitter Wi-Fi in your phone settings, it will say no internet connection, you need to confirm that you want to stay connected to Wi-Fi (pop up notification) and then go to Caldwell app, click eye icon and app will work. Wish they update app, since people assume it will not work with their phone once they download it and get notification that is not compatible with the phone.

★☆☆☆☆ David Offutt · Oct 8, 2024

This new version doesn't work well with android 14, at least on my samsung phone and tablet. As it says it needs no permissions, though the app opens and connects to the camera, you can not record video, or save snapshots showing targets. I contacted Customer Support, and was told that they were aware and working on a fix. Time will tell if that happens. So here we are in October, still no fix.
