This is a great device for a gun safe. Will keep one alert as per, what is the condition of your safe, via internet on your mobile cell phone. Anywhere you are.

Great app work well. Unit works well to show temperature and humidity. Also shows movement rather quickly. Wi-Fi side is decent, wish it would connect a little better. But great for security. The only downside is unit battery life is terrible. You need to change at least 4-5 times a year. The other similar item I used previously did everything and battery life was just once every 6 months. If you can hardwire I would suggest it.

My grandfather bought this for his safe and I feel he was partially taken advantage of. It takes half a dozen tries to get the puck to pair with their 2.4ghz network - the same problem everyone else has. Using my android phone instead of his iPhone seemed to work better. I have seen several complaints about the iPhone version not working well. Immediately had a poor signal upon pairing even inches from the wireless router. It does however still barely communicate through his safe.

I'm able to reset the puck, and I updated the firmware, connect with the app and tell it my network...the puck connects to the network, and I can ping it, but the app times out and fails every time (tried 2 different APs and all 2.4GHz network) no luck. Device is totally worthless to me.
