CalGrade: AI Calorie Counter

CalGrade is an AI calorie counter that works from a photo. Snap your plate and get calories, protein, carbs and fat in seconds, plus a grade and one line from your food coach on how to make the next meal better. No weighing, no endless database searches: point, tap, logged.

Whether your goal is weight loss, maintenance or muscle gain, this calorie counter makes a food diary quick enough to stick with.

SNAP IT, SCAN IT OR SAY IT
• Photo calorie counter: one picture of breakfast, a burrito bowl or a takeout curry gives you portions, ingredients, calories and macros, plus fiber, sugar and sodium
• Barcode scanner for millions of packaged foods
• Nutrition label scanner for when the barcode is missing
• Describe a meal by typing or with your voice: "two eggs, toast and a latte"
• Search 300+ common foods, even offline
• Save favorite meals and log them again in one tap
• Not quite right? Say "that's brown rice" or "half the fries" and the numbers update

EVERY MEAL GETS A GRADE
Most calorie trackers stop at a number. CalGrade scores each plate from 0 to 10 and gives it a letter grade from A to F, with the reason and one simple swap that saves calories. Share the plate card with friends.

PICK YOUR COACH
Five coaches, five voices, all of them free:
• Mia: calm and steady, just the next right step
• Leo: pure hype, celebrates every win
• Max: the roast. Savage about the food, never about you
• Ava: the numbers, the macros and the why
• Rosa: the grandmother who wants you to eat your vegetables and drink your water
Switch any time: the voice changes, the numbers don't.

EAT-OUT MODE
Photograph a restaurant menu and CalGrade ranks the dishes for what is left of your day: best pick, good or treat, each with the reason and a tip for ordering it lighter.

A CALORIE GOAL BUILT FOR YOU
Your daily calorie target comes from your height, weight, age, activity and chosen pace, using the Mifflin-St Jeor equation, so your calorie deficit or surplus is sized to match. Choose how you eat: balanced, Mediterranean, keto, low carb, high protein, vegetarian, vegan, pescatarian and more, and your macro targets follow. Roll up to 200 unused calories into tomorrow, log workouts and add the calories you burn back if you want, or set any target by hand.

TRACK YOUR PROGRESS
• Weight tracker with a trend line and your goal weight
• Progress photos to compare before and after
• Macro tracker: weekly calories, protein, carbs and fat, plus water and steps
• Streaks, a monthly streak freeze and badges
• A weekly recap card you can share

MORE TOOLS
• Coach chat that knows what you logged today
• Recipes built from the calories and macros you have left
• 7-day meal plans with a shopping list
• Intermittent fasting timer: 12:12, 14:10, 16:8, 18:6, 20:4 or custom
• Water tracker, plus reminders for meals, water and weigh-ins
• Home screen widgets: calories left, macros, water and streak
• Health Connect: steps and active calories in; meals, water and weight out
• Dark mode, metric or imperial units, 20 languages
• Export your diary as CSV or PDF
