Description
CameraAccess plus allows you to operate CANON camcorders with your Android devices via Wi-Fi. You can start/stop recording and zoom in/out while viewing the camcorder's live image from a distance. Live images can be saved to your device. This app is useful such as for monitoring your pets, bird-watching, and recording yourself. If your camcorder and smartphone or other devices support NFC, just put it above the camcorder to start Wi-Fi connection.
Caution:Depending on the environment, live image is not displayed. Turn on thumbnail playback in the settings menu in this case.

I liked the app, it worked very well, thanks I cannot believe the possibilities of this app and there is really no one else with this type of app. You will have to use your wifi settings to connect your device and camcorder by wifi, and the cam also spits out the password the first time you use it. Once setup on my Galaxy Note 4, it is a breeze, i used the wifi in-house mode, there is also an internet mode where you can operate the camera over the internet! Cannot use all functions on the camera, but for a start, this is excellent! Thank you Canon!

It finally works with my phone! I'm really happy that I can finally use this with my Note 5 and my Vixia R50. I do wish I could control my camera while it's at 60fps though. Seems very strange that I can't.

This should be called "Bugs and Glitches" While LEGRIA/VIXIA Wi-Fi itself is mighty tricky even for experienced user, CameraAccess plus and CameraAccess make it even worse. Even if you're lucky to launch the app and make it work, which is not guaranteed on any smartphone, you have to cross your fingers so that the app doesn't fail unexpectedly, or camera keep Wi-Fi running. Canon should write their apps themselves, because PIXELA just can't get what and how to do. Still cameras apps, like CameraWindow and new Camera Connect are WAY-WAY-WAY better. Actually, when it comes to Wi-Fi in consumer stills cameras, Canon is the best.

Update your app Man this app sucks it will not connect to my camcorder, did a 2 year old develop this app, add more features to this and make the NFC ability work with the camera, 1 star until updated and fixed

Not compatible with OS 5.0 (Rated Junk) Just found out my HTC with Android 5.0.2 is not compatible - this software needs an update. Renders the remote control functionality for my Canon HFR50 camera useless.
