This app continuously analyzes the video from your device's camera, and it uploads it to camio.com only when there is motion detected. Camio filters the images by detecting interesting events and discarding spurious motion. You can view the events by visiting camiocam.com with your browser or by checking the app's feed.
Your device should be connected to a charger for extended recording.

This works great! What a great way to do remote video! Super easy setup.

Mostly works awesome I use this app to keep an eye on my dog while I'm at work. It works pretty good, just a few small issues, the videos in the history don't seem to correspond to the thumbnail they show, usually it's one or two videos later. Seems to crash my old HTC phone that I was planning to use, but I use the laptop now for a camera and that function works perfect. Can't really complain though, it's a free app and does what it claims, would be nice if it worked on the HTC though.
★★☆☆☆
No benefit. Buy a cheap camera system If the intention was to just leave an old phone plugged in on a shelf, and be able to listen in current time, it works for a while in that capacity. Until some other factory app uses the camera and makes camio crash. Motion does trigger recording, sound does not. Unless maybe a gunshot is needed to trigger it. The "camera"phone has sat recording on my coffee table for 3 days, I only have 2 videos recorded. Both from when I set the phone in the table. 3 days of conversions and loud laughter did not trigger.

Requires Display Always On, Confusing UI, Lots of Bugs This app is promising but I see lots of issues. The first issue I ran into is the display of the recording Android device must be always on or it doesn't record. This is not an Android limitation as I have used other camera apps that can record and stream with the display off (same phone). The UI is not very intuitive and offers no contextual help. The setup app has a huge bug in that you can exit it. The back/exit button just starts the app again I'm not convinced that Android phones do well with video always on. Mine overheats and reboots every few days. I have placed my phone (galaxy s) in the window but in the evening it reflects the light inside and generates all sorts of false reports. A nice feature would be to have it turn off during night time hours. I checked the website and it doesn't look like it's getting my video anymore but the phone has the app running and recording. I'll check back in a few months because right now it seems this app does not work.
★★☆☆☆
Need to change This app would get a higher rating is I was able to change one of the cameras to a viewer or be able to go in between the two settings on or vice a versa
