Very easy to understand and links up well to older units. I am still using their Canon mx410 printer. Absolutely reliable unit. It's always been on point and always provides quality prints. Helpful through the school year then takes a break through the summer. Never had an issue with the unit or the app and even some of the quality pictures. Although a small issue with scanner feeding manually nothing blocking, but it won't let us feed to copy from the top but scans from the PC. other than that

The app seems simple and straightforward but doesn't give the option to choose between printing in color or just monochrome. So, to do that it's better not to use the app and print directly from a computer.

Printing got more and more difficult with this printer. They blocked sources of documents and created the need for work around to print from different sources through software updated

The app has some reasonable design and functions alright, but it really falls down quite badly when it comes to errors and troubleshooting. Having used any printer you'll know that errors are frequent, however far too often when one occurs the app provides absolutely no information. What went wrong? How do I fix it? Multiple times there hasn't even been an error code to look up. I don't think I can rate this higher when it performs poorly in such a key area.

App glitchy, requires GPS, ink v.expensive Why has printing technology gone backwards since the early 2000s? Canon doesn't appear to have generic ink, and a refill will cost more than the printer itself. I had to spend 5 minutes getting a single page printed from a phone I'd already set up. I honestly don't know why we are accepting this level of regression, but I'd take a late 1990s printer in a straight swap for a Canon color 6550i, it's really into the "CBA" age of printers.
