Take a photo of a Go board or choose one from your gallery. Align the four outer intersections, check the detected stones, and you're ready to play! Overlay the original photo to compare, then adjust or erase black and white stones as needed. CaptureGo lets you play on from the position shown in the photo, rather than reconstructing the full sequence of moves.

Play both sides to explore your ideas, or continue against AI. Undo and step forward to revisit moves, and turn on move numbers to follow the flow of the game.

From small boards to the full board
Choose a 9×9, 13×13 or 19×19 board. Start on a blank board without a photo, or import and export SGF game records. Adjust the stone sound and volume to suit you, too.

Play in a familiar language
CaptureGo supports Korean, Traditional Chinese (Taiwan), Japanese and English. It follows your phone's language by default, or you can choose one in the app settings. Unsupported languages are displayed in English.

Keep a game worth revisiting with Premium
A move you're proud of, a game you wish had gone differently—save it for another look. With Premium, save games to review later, and collect positions and analyses you want to remember in your library. When you open a saved record or resume a game, the play mode and whose turn comes next are preserved. CaptureGo Premium is a one-time purchase that also removes ads, with no subscription. You can open and delete existing records and import SGF files without a purchase.

Glare, shadows and camera angles can cause stones to be misread, so check the position before playing on.
