Using Capture is easy. If you're interested in calculating your carbon emissions from travel & food choices in real time, here’s how it works:
- Download and create an account by answering a few questions about your lifestyle, helping you set a monthly target based on a 7.6% reduction (that's the amount we all need to decrease emissions between now and 2030 to keep a 1.5 degree warming target!) - Switch on GPS tracking (we wipe all GPS points every 24 hours and never share your data without explicit permission) - Review live CO2 emission information whenever you want, and see the breakdown from your different mobility choices - Choose your favourite CO2 offsetting project (verified by GoldStandard or the American Carbon Registry) - CO2 offset-as-you-go at the end of each month. You’ll get a monthly receipt by email.

This app is easy to use, but the tracking doesn't work properly. First, it doubled the journeys and then just stopped working. Also, it would be nice to get more information about the offset projects. Follow up: The problems got fixed:)

Good for tracking simple stuff. It would be great if it could track other big carbon footprint items like clothes, electronics and energy. More content on the Learn tab would be great too.

The app said that air travel is 75% of my carbon footprint, I have been on an airplane 4 times and for only 2 hours at a time, when do the initial survey allow people to actually mark things in when they choose the mark manually sorry, but it's not working for me. Especially since in the reduce tab it's only thing you can do financially through donations instead of day to day solutions.

The app isn't granular enough at the moment. There is nowhere I can find to fine tune the settings to my personal circumstances. How can I add my solar panels, and highlight that I drive a fully electric vehicle? Needs more features to make this really useful.
