Carpet Calculator: Rolls

Carpet Calculator does the math area-only calculators get wrong.

Carpet comes on a fixed-width roll - 12 ft (or 13.5/15 ft, or 4 m). So the real
question isn't "how many square feet" - it's "how many linear yards of roll do I
order, where do the seams fall, and how much waste do I pay for?" This app answers
exactly that.

ENTER A ROOM, GET INSTALLER-GRADE NUMBERS
- Linear yardage to order from the roll - the number you actually buy
- Number of seams + linear feet of seam tape
- A clear top-down layout diagram: roll strips, seam lines, lay direction
- Purchased area vs room area, so you see your real waste (adjustable 5-20%)
- Optional cost by $/sq yd, $/sq ft, or linear yard

BUILT FOR HOW CARPET ACTUALLY GOES DOWN
- Feet-inches-and-fractions input (a real tape-measure picker) - or metric
- Lay-direction choice (auto / lengthwise / widthwise)
- T-seam warning: flags layouts that may need a T-seam - because not all carpet
can be T-seamed (verify pile & pattern with your supplier)
- Pattern-repeat alignment for patterned carpet (Pro)

SAVE YOUR JOBS - NOT JUST A CALCULATION
- Save each room as a named job with client and status
- Re-open and re-estimate anytime
- Export a clean PDF or share-image quote for your client (Pro)
- Multi-room jobs that combine into one roll order (Pro)

NO TRICKS
- Calculate your first room free, forever - no paywall before you see value
- No account. No sign-up. No ads.
- Pro is a one-time LIFETIME option or a subscription if you prefer - your
choice. We know the trade hates renting a calculator.

For carpet installers, flooring contractors, retail estimators, and DIY
homeowners re-carpeting a room.

Estimates are based on roll-width layout and should be verified with your carpet
supplier. Roll widths and seam rules vary by product.
