I love CBC and all it stands for. While I accept that advertising is a necessary evil, I find it interruptive and frustrating. Also, it is not always clear when an article will go directly to video...when that happens it can be difficult to stop that process and return to text based articles which is the format I wish to enjoy. Meanwhile, keep up the excellent journalism.

I know Canada is kind of a relaxed sleepy place, but on January 10, 2026, there is only one new article at 9am pst. March 29, 2026, only one new article by 930 pst. June 25, 2026 4 kinda new articles at 930 eastern. July 4, 2026, two new articles... How much public money does the CBC get for this? I want a CBC and want Canadian news, but this is a complete joke pulled on every Canadian... CBC. YOU'RE FLUFF.

The app itself is okay, I like the way it links previous reports to the current news story. But you will need to create an account to access the app, and way they have implemented the advertisements is extremely frustrating. There are huge advertisements throughout the article you are reading. If your finger comes anywhere close to advert, even while swiping up it opens the advertisements. This is nothing more than a cheap way to get you to open up links to Amazon.
