We keep trying to use this app to catch up on the news in victoria. Unfortunately the app can not stream the newscast. It works for a few minutes then sits and buffers for many more minutes. Sometimes we get a few minutes more of the story, but mostly the app buffers indefinitely and we give up. We really like getting our news from CHEK News, please fix the app. ED

CHEK TV should give up and put all content on YouTube if they cannot fix this app. Last update completely broke Chromecast support for us islanders who rely on CHEK as our sole source of local video content. Furthermore, episodes of newscasts are several days old, and local shows are over a week old, hence no access to current content. CHEK decommissioned their only TV transmitter in the CRD, where about half of Vancouver Island population is, which means that CRD cord cutters are out of luck.
