Great learning platform. It has enough to be worth free play, but the content behind their subscription is well worth the price. Kid friendly. Great parent - child interactivity. Can switch subscriptions between children. Any child subscription grants a parent subscription as well, so come learn with your child! Good wholesome fun and learning.

It's great and helpful and teaches kids how to play chess. Chess kid taught me a lot and it's so fun you can play with people and the bots, and I love to beat the bots and the real people, like chess is the best thing to do when you are sometimes bored.

I installed the app for my son. He really enjoyed using it and 'played' it every day. I was happy he learned chess. I bought a subscription. All good. But after a couple of weeks new levels started appearing in a half-English way. My son doesn't speak English. I tried to reach out for support. Chatbots were useless, but there was no other way to contact the developer. Finally, I was told my issue was registered and I to be looked at within two days. I was never contacted back. I cancelled subs.

Lately started letting my kids start a video and then some way into it tells them they have to get Chess Gold. This is extremely manipulative behavior. Now there is a free weekend, but it doesn't even work!!!! I got an email saying Gold features were unlocked this weekend, my kids are very excited to access more lessons than they had access to before, but nope! Everything is still locked behind the paywall and "support" responds within 3 days... after the free weekend is over.

I can't believe you put in threefold repetition rule in a kids learning app without the possibility to uncheck it, when what you had to do is to offer the possibility to go back after checkmate with a bot. It's about learning and trying. This is not a learning app for kids, this is just another Chess app with a different skin, and for the children who don't speak English it's almost worthless as such, better to learn how to play on other free platforms with more customizable computer opponents.

Doesn't let you play. Been trying for weeks to play a game, even bought membership, but every time we try to start a game of slow chess, it says server error.
