Chess

Play chess anywhere — no account, no internet required. Chess is a clean, focused 2D chess game for Android with ten difficulty levels, from a gentle beginner you can beat on your first try all the way up to full-strength Stockfish.

TEN LEVELS, ONE LADDER
Whether you are learning how the pieces move or sharpening a tournament repertoire, there is an opponent for you. Beat a level to unlock the next and watch your record grow.
• Beginner (600) and Easy (800)
• Casual (1000) and Medium (1200)
• Intermediate (1400) and Skilled (1600)
• Strong (1750) and Expert (1800)
• Master (2100) and Grandmaster (full strength)

The first seven levels use a fast built-in engine that runs on any device. The final three call on Stockfish — one of the strongest chess engines in the world — directly on your phone.
