Chordbot

★★★★★ This is exactly what I was looking for. An easy and intuitive way to try out weird and unconventional chord progressions without having to look each one up and learn to play one by one! Giving 5 stars because I've had a lot of fun and will get a lot of use out of this app for inspiration, as I begin writing my own album. A few times it froze (when I got to about 9 sections) and I was unable to save or export as midi, but that's literally the only issue I've encountered.

★★★★★ Love the app. If I could add anything it'd be the ability to add custom patterns and chords, or to change the midi instrument a pattern uses.

★★★★★ I've been Chord bot on and off for years It always helps me play around with song ideas and structure in a sandbox, without worrying about sound design and DAW workflows. The UI works better than it looks.

★★☆☆☆ Had this app for years but just started crashing constantly with latest patch using Google Pixel

★★☆☆☆ Cannot use Min7b5, Aug(maj7), majb5, dim7, any altered 7th chords, or their extensions. Really limits creativity. Can sort of get away by implying alterations as bass notes, but is pretty limited since there is no way to alter the 5 or 7. Good voice leading. I like that you can export midi as played by the bot. But it's just not fun without those chords.

★★☆☆☆ I thought this would be a great songwriting tool. After 4 hours of frustration I changed my mind. Basic things like time signatures don't exist except in a hacky way. What you write will not be what midi you get. I have the same chord in two sections, but it's different each time in the exported track. Made one piano track, but it splits into two tracks when I export. But only in some sections. One of my sections randomly glitched and just loops from the middle now. Had to start over...
