Cloud Finder: Identify Clouds

Cloud Finder turns the sky into a field guide. Point your camera at the clouds and get a best-guess identification that runs entirely on your device — no internet, no account, no photos uploaded. Spot clouds even with zero signal.

IDENTIFY THE SKY, ON YOUR DEVICE
- Snap a photo and match it against the ten classic cloud genera — cirrus, cumulus, stratus, cumulonimbus and the rest — plus aircraft contrails
- On-device AI model, works fully offline
- Each cloud comes with what it tends to mean for the weather

READ THE WEATHER FROM THE CLOUDS
- Learn what every cloud usually signals — the near-term outlook it tends to bring, and how it evolves
- Will it rain, when, and how much, plus what each cloud means for flying and sky-watching

CLOUD LIBRARY
- Browse all the cloud types, grouped by how high they sit
- Reading their height and shape together is the key to forecasting from the sky

YOUR SKY JOURNAL
- Save every cloud you identify — with the photo, date, and place — and build your own field log

FREE & PRO
Cloud identification and the Cloud Library are free forever. Cloud Finder Pro is a one-time unlock that adds the full Sky Forecast, fun facts, and your saved Sky Journal. No subscription.

A NOTE ON WEATHER
Cloud Finder is a fun, educational sky-watching companion — not an official forecast. AI can be wrong, and cloud types blend into one another. For anything that matters — travel, aviation, severe weather — always rely on your national weather service.

Recent changes:
Cloud Finder now releases the memory it uses for cloud identification as soon as a photo has been identified, which keeps your device more responsive afterwards.

The Cloud Finder Pro screen also explains more plainly what is free and what Pro adds.

If we ask you for a rating, it now comes straight from the standard system prompt, and only after you have used the app on a few different days.
