Description
CNC Lathe Simulator is a software simulator of a numerical control lathe is an educational methodological development intended for basic familiarization of novice machine building specialists with the principles of programming parts turning operations using standard G-code (ISO).
The three-dimensional simulation model is based on a lathe with an inclined bed, equipped with a CNC system, a twelve-position turret head, a three-jaw chuck, a tailstock, a system for supplying lubricating and cooling liquid, and other units. The material is processed along two controlled axes.
Field of application of the software product: educational process using computer technology: laboratory lessons of students in computer classes, distance learning, demonstration support of lecture material in the group of areas of training and specialties: «Metallurgy, Engineering and Material Processing».
The main functions of the application: editing the code of control programs of a lathe, operations with control program files, setting up geometric parameters of a cutting tool, continuous/step-by-step execution of control program blocks, three-dimensional visualization of tool movements in the machine’s workspace, simplified visualization of the workpiece surface, calculation of processing modes, a brief reference guide on using G-code.
Type of target computing device and supported platform: IBM – compatible PC running Microsoft Windows, Apple Macintosh PC running MacOS, mobile devices based on Android and iOS operating systems.
The graphics component of the software uses the OpenGL 2.0 component base.
The graphical user interface of the program is implemented in English.

Spectacular experience. Great app if you want to: Learn to Program CNC; Draft and Simulate CNC plans. I op a CNC machine, but now I feel at least comfortable around some of the commands I KNOW I have seen scroll across the CNC program. I have experience reading and drafting blueprint schematics, I feel now I can translate that to a CNC, least dimensionally. I’m sure that there is more that I need to know in terms of setting feed rate, tool tolerance and machine specific maintenance functions.

1. Add more tools like different types knurling tools, boring bar rough and finish for ID of 8/10/12/14 mm and more...also more different I'd thread, also add different types of thread tools like 55 degree and acme thread square thread. 2.AND it was not taking angle at Z0.0 like G01 X17.50 Z0.0; G01X20.50 A150; 3. And machine running very fast or very slow there are two options only Add different speeds, so we can see cuts properly. 4. There is only round raw job Add hexagonal, square jobs etc.

App crashes when trying to go to program screen. Also cant figure out how to get the machine to run.

After weeks of part creation using 4 different operation programs in succession to create a part I've noticed a major glitch in the software. Every time I get to the 4th program, did some editing and ran it the software glitches and turns my large circular part into a circular pyramid on the 4th program midway through a cut and then crashes moments later every single time!? Is there a maximum line number of line code the software can handle, or perhaps it can't handle moderately complex shapes??
