I've just started identifying the birds around me and this app is helping massively, especially with identifying bird calls. My only gripe is that the list function doesn't seem to have a view mode, it's all editing. Sometimes I want to go to my list and just view the details of each bird

An indispensable guide which I can carry in my pocket as it is on my phone as an app - which is more than can be said for the book version. If it has a downside it is identifying a bird does need enough knowledge of birds to know where on the app to look. With a book you can just flick through the pages, but you can't do this on the app. The best feature are the call recordings - I've used these in the field to trick birds into replying!

Not updated, last was more than 2 years ago. Needs TLC Awkward and unintuitive searching. Too many steps to add on-the-go sightings to a single venue list. Extra maps etc. are costly.

Clunky to use, the iPhone version was/is much better. The lists' functionality is terrible: entries are jumbled according to time of day of entry, and you can't sort lists by date or name. This developer neglects Android users. And there's so much more that this app could do, it's just the book digitized plus (too short and few) sound clips. If that sounds silly, South African bird apps have photos too, much more text and variety of songs and calls (and longer clips), site guides etc.

I have this app on my Android phone and Chromebook. For some inexplicable reason it's just stopped working on my Chromebook. Any attempt to search for a bird just sees the app repeatedly closing. It used to work perfectly, I've changed nothing, now it's useless. Very disappointed. Hoping someone at Collins can help.
