In an age where smartphone manufacturers are trimming down so many of my favorite features such as the LED light and where android system updates are breaking lots of useful apps, I was looking for a replacement for the Active Display feature of my original Moto X and I think I found the closest thing! This app suits my needs, namely that I can be notified of a text right away and get a quick preview that I can immediately dismiss or go to as fast as possible without being frustrated or distracted by so much unnecessary clicking. I do not use it with my fingerprint scanner on my phone or an extra security lock screen because the ability to customize and be quick on my phone more important for me right now on this device. So I cannot attest that those features interact well. Running on Android 9, Oneplus 6.

Though too late but it may help respected Mr Robert Knight and many others. I wanted to have same typed of notifications on default lock screen of my Redmi Note 9 Pro (Global ROM). Neither this nor any other app could do that. We all know troubled settings of MIUI. I tried changing different setting, and finally I was able to get what I wanted (i.e. full content of messages and other notifications on lock screen without unlocking the phone screen) It is now working best with following settings (order of settings may be different):- 1. Settings………. Notifications……… Notification Shade …….. Enabled. 2. Notification Shade…..MIUI. 3. Lock Screen….. Wake Lock Screen for Notifications. 4. Lock screen Notifications …. Format…… Show notifications and content. 5. Must enable all apps or some that you want to show notifications on lock screen. 6. Additional Settings …… Enable Developers Options (Only visible by pressing “MIUI Version” 8-10 times in about phone)……… Disable MIUI Optimization. 7. Finally…….. Must change or apply any wallpaper (not the theme wallpaper) to lock screen. 8. Now I get all notifications on lock screen with full content which may be viewed in detail by pulling down a notification. Once pulled down, it also has options of quick reply incl Mark as Read, Delete and Open App etc.

THIS APP NEED ALL THE PERMISSIONS WHICH IS SKETCHY AND ALSO GOOGLE BILLING INFORMATION. AND I ALSO Can't UNINSTALL THIS APP

Go to settings and then security/privacy and then click to device administrative and click on this app. Deactivate it and now you can uninstall it 😌

Take a pass on this one. It's not that it's bad, AcDisplay was once the best utility app on the market. It's just no longer needed. AcDisplay was ahead of it's time, and the market has caught up.
