Excellent app, very complete for my requirements and then some. Endless information in each layer with superb offline capabilities. The DSS photos download for each DSO makes for a great live viewing experience and after observations to browse through its endless content is very satisfying and gives you the feeling that you are still observing from the comfort of your armchair. Great piece of work guys. Thanks very much. 😆

For visual observers using manual mounts, DSO planner deservers a serious look. What it lacks in eye candy and animations it makes up for in thoughtful features. Like a star map that doesn't move when set your phone down to adjust your scope. Like a visibility score that can help you target objects appropriate for skies and equipment. Like the tel rad display that can be calibrated to an alt azimuth mount. It's true that you need to RTFM to get the most out of it.

This is more a question than review. After purchase, I still get the 'Sorry this function is only available in paid editions.' How do I fix this? One thing I don't like is the notes function. When selecting a Messier object it lists them with their NGC designation. Needs to list both.

Cannot set loc of observer, not in settings... this is a problem of satellite service that uses major station covering large regions. We live in a different state from Chicago, about 400 miles. Makes the charts somewhat unusable
