I very rarely make a review...but felt that I needed to for Ecosia. 1. EVERYONE should be using Ecosia as their default internet search engine/browser because it is THE easiest way to HELP SAVE THE WORLD. 2. Ecosia became as good or better than Google Chrome (GC), however, the most recent updates by default have changed the platform too much...in my opinion. The default should be more like GC like they used to be and then if you want you can customize it to be "different" like it is now. Thanks!

I love this app's mission, and it was my primary browser, but they've changed the homepage to force you to use AI search. I don't believe that any AI is "green" as they claim it is, and even if it was, I want to search for the resources and websites I want, rather than being forced to use an AI that can hallucinate, provides inaccurate information, and is trained on stolen data. I will be switching browsers until this is changed (though you can access regular search through the address bar)

Used to be my go-to on everything, but you've been pushing AI so much, and for what? Users who are using ecosia for its greenness don't want AI. your homepage just looks like a chatbot now. Incredibly disappointed, will be switching to a different browser.

I find the use of AI extremely hypocritical for an app meant to be environmentally friendly, it being solar-powered or whatever does not stop it from hurting the people it steals from. I also find it extremely annoying that I would leave Google to escape having AI products shoved in my face just to go here and have the same thing happen again, that there isn't any way to remove it from my personal browser if I don't want it is obnoxious.
