Description

This is simple text editor that can help you with editing text files.

This editor mostly used by me for small text notes, write down ideas while I have a break.

Supports only plain text files at the moment.

The code is open so can review code, send pull requests, new features, translations and so on. https://github.com/maxistar/TextPad.

It's a lightweight text editor that requires the option to close a file. Exit option exists, but we may want to work on multiple files. Also, color coding for programming is helpful. The text editor is good for simple tasks.

Does exactly what I need, i.e. open a basic text file and let me copy to the clipboard, something that's apparently too difficult for Google and Microsoft.

This editor looses typed text if it was not explicitly saved. Usually, editors resume the previous text when opened again. I lost an important PIN that I typed quickly before adding it to the password manager. It took much time to recover it. UPD I see it has the "autosaving" setting, but it's disabled by default. UPD2 The "autosaving" setting doesn't save new documents

I agree a simple .txt file editor is sorely needed, but this isn't it. I opened a .txt file that I created in Windows to edit. The issue described in earlier reviews about randomly moving the focus to the bottom of the text really makes the app unusable, especially since it happened on every line multiple times. Also, to get around the limitations of the on-screen keyboard, I tried to use a Bluetooth keyboard. The app did not recognize the tab character at all.
