An application for keeping track of GnuCash transactions on the go.
Note: this app is not meant to be a standalone implementation of GnuCash. Rather, it's a simple tool for recording transactions as they happen that also allows you to export in a GnuCash-compatible format (CSV).
Capabilities:
- Import a set of accounts (these should be exported from a valid GnuCash instance; File > Export > Export Account Tree to CSV...) - Create transactions a GnuCash-compatible, double-bookkeeping fashion - Export said transactions for import into a standalone GnuCash instance (File > Import > Import Transactions from CSV...). Use the "GnuCash Export Format". - Set favorite debit and credit accounts for pre-populating transaction fields.

The concept of this app is brilliant, but in the few moments of interacting with it, I immediately realize that if I export the csv from gnucash desktop app using anything other than a comma, this app won't import it. I also cannot modify a transaction and there is no option to change the currency symbol (which should not be there even in the first place). Overall this is a great app, maybe some day it can work without depending on the import, and that would be amazing.

Genuine idea. However, I am struggling to getting the appropriate currency going with a transaction. The accounts imported carry the current code for the accounts. When entering a transaction the pp defaults to a different currency. Why is that and where can I change it?

The exported CSV file can't be imported into Gnucash as the columns don't match up. It would be a great app if that was fixed, or it was possible to export QIF files.

Sorry, but this app does not work with files created in a PC. It can import the accounts in csv format but with no transactions' information, therefore it is worthless for trying to import your existing transactions created in the PC version. You can create new transactions but not import an existing file.

Doesn't appear to work. Using the desktop version to export as a csv file. This app says it has imported the csv format accounts, but in the app there is nothing there except some gibberish for account names. No transactions. If I am missing something, perhaps someone will explain.
