I was looking for some app that would allow me to use my phone or tablet as a field monitor. I came across this app in that search. It isn't quite a field monitor, but it is way better for my purposes. I wanted a tethered cable app to control my camera and to be able to see what I was setting up to photograph. My eyes are not what they used to be and the small screen on my camera and also the viewfinder image are too small for me to get my focus correct. It does all this and more. Very happy.

It actually works with my EOS 100D, unfortunately it doesn't with EOS 6D mkII (but it's not supported, so it's obvious). I'm willing to use it as an interferometer to time-lapse - I've tried with some cheap cables but never got good results. This small app seems to work flawless and thanks to it, I can try with my old camera instead of tossing money on new one £10 is better deal than £1000 for second body. Fortunately I already have cable, and it works on my old phone, so it seems like a bargain.

I've had this app for a long time, it worked perfectly with my Canon Eos Rebel T6, but it just doesn't work with my Canon Eos M50, even though the description says it's compatible. I tested both by cable and by Wi-Fi, running the application on a Samsung Galaxy S10 + (Android ver. 11) to no avail. The Canon Connect app works, and the camera is also recognized to download images with other applications when connecting it with the cable (example Lightroom), so it only does not work with this application. I have purchased the pro version. It would be ideal if there was a video explaining how to configure or connect correctly to avoid inconveniences (in case it was a configuration problem).

TetherMonkey is a new and exciting app that lets you remote control and trigger your compatible Canon or Nikon DSLR camera from your phone or tablet with a tethered USB OTG (USB HOST) cable. See live view, adjust shutter speed, aperture, ISO, and more! If it's possible to remote control a camera setting over USB, it's possible with TetherMonkey! Turn your phone or tablet into a DSLR controller. But hold on. There's many more useful tools and features you won't find in any other DSLR remote control app! Check out those features below:
Remote Control
Control your compatible DSLR camera via a tethered USB connection.
Shutter Release*
Control and adjust almost all important settings such as but not limited to Shutter Speed, Aperture, ISO, White Balance, Picture Styles, Metering Modes; precisely control focus, and more!
Live View
See a live view of what your camera sees, on your connected phone or tablet. Great for precise, critical adjustments!
Time Lapse*
