Smart WiFi Selector - always the strongest WiFi connection!
You know the problem: although a strong WiFi signal is available nearby, your device is keeping the connection to a much weaker, more distant WiFi network. You have to disable and reenable WiFi on your device to force the strongest WiFi connection. Smart WiFi Selector puts an end to this situation! The strongest WiFi connection will always be established automatically.
Advantages over other WiFi Switcher apps: * Smart WiFi Selector uses the (selectable) difference in signal strenght to decide when to switch to another WiFi. The connection to the new WiFi will happen if the signal is e.g. 20% stronger than the current signal. This eliminates the constant switching - and, with this, constant signal interruption - in the overlapping area of 2 WiFi networks. * Selectable scan interval for the search for the strongest WiFi connection * It's possible to exclude specific WiFi networks from scan * Instant scan for the strongest WiFi connection when the screen gets switched on * Favors 5GHz networks, if desired * Sleep mode with own scan interval to save battery. The sleep mode can either be triggered by time or by the connection to specific WiFi networks. For example, if there are multiple WiFi networks at work, but only a single network at home, you may want to put your home network on the sleep mode list. As soon as you leave your home network, Smart WiFi Selector will enter the normal work mode. * Option to switch to mobile data connection at poor WiFi signal strength

Works perfectly for me on my Samsung, using it to connect to a repeater when I'm at the other end of the house. Have to make sure you forget all networks on your phone before setting this up though! The bad reviews are probably from people not reading the instructions.

Works perfectly on a pixel 5 and a pixel 8. Ideal if you have Wi-Fi repeaters with different network names from your main router (you can get these from temu very cheaply to cover your whole house with a strong Wi-Fi signal). The app has useful tuning settings such as "prefer 5ghz" to stay connected to the main router when close which works well. I'll be recommending to my friends.

Like with others here, Android made my Wi-Fi mesh network almost pointless. This near app solved the issue, and finally I can stop yelling out "Turn your Wi-Fi off and on again!"

It does not work. Even when manually switching through the app to another network, it does not switch. All permissions already set correctly (location and Wi-Fi control).

Unfortunately, doesn't work on my Samsung Galaxy s25 ultra android 15. All permissions added. Now saved Wi-Fi networks on phone. Can add a Wi-Fi in app. Auto switching enabled. Will not switch to Wi-Fi.
