Description
COVIDCert NI is a digital wallet for your Health & Social Care Northern Ireland (HSC NI) COVID certificates.
When travelling abroad, you can use this app to show that you have been vaccinated against COVID-19.
Downloading and using this app is voluntary and you must read the Terms and Conditions before use.
How does this app work?
- If you don’t already have one, the app will help you apply for your COVID certificate via nidirect.
- If you have applied for your COVID certificate, login with your nidirect account.
- You may be asked for additional proof of identity.
- When your COVID certificate is valid, it will be green and available as a QR code.
- When you travel, the QR code can be scanned to show your COVID certificate status.
- Parents and guardians can access their under-16 dependents’ COVID certificates.
- Under-16s can scan their COVID certificate QR code using this app to add and store it.
How is my data protected?
- Your data is secure - the app does not share information about your vaccination.
- Data used by the app is only what is already registered by nidirect and HSC NI.
- The app will not collect any additional information about you.

App does work. After initial problems with creation of NI Direct account, app works as intended. Problems others report seems to be with NI direct account creation, not the app itself.

Great App. Could still do with a bit of refinement but was able to get signed up and produce a certificate in about 20 mins. To make it easier have your drivers license, medical number and dates of vaccines to hand.

In the brief time I have had my Covid cert it has had incorrect details TWICE! First time someone had to manually correct it, so it corresponded with my vaccination card. The night before I was due to travel to Spain, they 'updated' the app and details for my second vacc changed. This time the batch number was wrong, again, but a different 'wrong'! Now my second vaccination has exactly the same batch number as my first. This is incorrect. No response from the wunderkinds who developed this dud!

Not easy to use app have to make a ni. Gov account but still they don't send certificate after you have applied, I'm still waiting and being stopped from travelling no thanks to them!!!

Created the ni direct account and the app won't let me log in to the account via it... Can log in via the website no problem.... Typical rubbish!!
