Description
Creality Scan is a free APP that works with Creality 3D scanners CR-Scan Ferret series and Otter on your smartphone (Wireless Bridge/Scan Bridge for hotspot connection with your phone wirelessly). It is developed by Creality for mobile scanning, which makes it easier to scan large objects or scan outdoors. The built-in USB3.0 of the scanner and Wi-Fi 6 of the wireless bridge provide fast data transmission speed and smooth scanning experience, which greatly increases scanning success rate. Ideal objects to be scanned: Human Face & Body, sculpture, car parts, carvings, etc. Features: 1. Scan Object Type: Normal Object, Face, Body. 2. 24 bit Color mapping. 3. Format: OBJ, STL, PLY. 4. Export as a project for advanced processing on PC. The app works, although I've not had much that is useable from it yet but that's more my lack of practice using it as a mobile scanner. The scanner is pretty good when used static with a PC. The most annoying thing I found with the app was the front screen not autorotating to landscape when attached to the handle wand thing and the facebook banner on the front page. Editing the cloud map (removing unwanted parts) after scanning in the app is easier than the PC version.

Going to need the ability to use reality scan with my otter and no scan bridge handle. I'm not buying a power bank with Wi-Fi 6.

If you have an Android device and want the Reality Ferret Pro, stay away from the app and scanner. The Wi-Fi bridge will sometimes work (when it chooses to stay connected). As for how it's supposed to operate without using the Wi-Fi bridge and using the cable directly plugged into your phone, that's also another story. It will give you the message, "Scanner image transmission error, Please restart the application." (Unusable). This has been a known issue, and there is no current fix for this.
