This is a great little app to create a map from any image. I've used it for a few years now. Thank you, Marko. All the bad reviews are from people that don't understand what the app does - they didn't read how to use it. The process is very simple. Of course the app needs your location. Hopefully this app becomes more popular and Marko increases functionality e.g., loading already dereferenced PDF and Geotiffs. Avenza was great but now enshitified. Custom Maps provides a decent workaround.

Selected map could not be loaded as it is too large error even on a tiny 18kb JPG - updated to 4 stars, great communication by dev! Maps imported map JPG filenames should have no spaces!

Will not even open without access to your location, which should not be necessary. Edit: It's even less impressive when it won't even open without an unneeded, battery consuming feature enabled.

Waste of time. App is confusing and just seems useless. You need a screenshot or file of a map ... To make a map. Just use your original map file.
