This is the only dimmer app I've ever used that doesn't bar me from using certain apps when it's on. I could literally scream from the rooftops. Also, it's just an exceptional app in general, it does exactly what it needs to do and when you click on the app it just turns on. Sorry but it's little quality of life stuff like that that fills me with true joy. I also don't think there are any ads? Is this the perfect app?

Personally it works really good for me. I can easily turn it on and off, and it keeps the screen dark. The only problem is if I'm on a game, and then I suddenly get off, while it's loading the filter turns off and my screen goes bright again, but it soon loads and goes back to the filter on so the screen is dimmed again. Other than that it's really good and works well.

Please don't expect this to work as advertised, it will do some things but the reviews are right, the pro version does not do everything it should, and it does start to take control when you don't want it to. I paid for the pro version and wished I hadn't.

The basic functionality works, but if you assign an accessibility shortcut (such as a gesture or on-screen overlay), this shortcut will toggle off Darker's accessibility permission itself, Rather than toggling Darker's actual dimming of the screen. This results in the app seemingly "turning itself off" that many people have reported. You can still click the icon to toggle your screen darker, but unfortunately its integration with the accessibility gestures is broken.

The UI is lackluster, and you have to actually switch back to the app to change the brightness. Otherwise, works as intended.
