Good device, limited software. It works and connects simply to the reader device & stores the readings. You can save color palettes & make notes on the colors. It is weak on translating the colors. RGB Lab & LCH are provided but, at least in Europe, you need RAL which is missing.

Very cool little device! Very accurate if you pick a flat smooth area to capture the sample from. I did notice whites are a bit harder for it to predict, so area has to be very smooth. Not sure why people say you can't filter by paint decks, it's really easy, just read a color, select change at top and pick the brands you want to use. I turned off 3 brands that are not commonly used in Arizona. Paid $107 for the color reader tool at Dunn Edwards, so worth it, clients are always amazed by it!

I bought this device through Dunn Edwards, cool gadget, worth the price. Fairly accurate. If you find too much difference in the selected color, calibrate, or I like to scan five sections of a large area, and pick the 3 out of 5, because there are to many variables, dirt, light, coat thickness, etc

I have not had good luck with this app at all so far it's giving me five wrong colors when I professionally as a designer needed those colors to be correct, and they were not embarrassing in front of the client. I don't recommend it at all.

The app does not find nor connect to the Data color Reader on my Android phone although the Bluetooth recognized it. When I tried to connect from Bluetooth an error message popped up saying it needed the app to connect. I tried the suggested hard reset and uninstalling and reinstalling the app to no avail. However, when, I tried to connect from the Data color Reader app on my iPhone, it worked immediately, and I was able to register and calibrate the reader.

The device will not connect with the recent update of the app. Useless now.
