One of the best purchases I have made in a while. For me this blows Slay the Spire out of the water. It feels less about trying to break the game and more about creating thoughtful thematic decks. The build variety is huge and all the card packs are free, give this game a bit of time to learn and this will be one of the best card games you can buy. The developers seem to take a customer first mentality and even have card contest with tons of cards that are community created.

Not all that it's hyped up to be. Boring gameplay with no real path choices. Once you've played through 3 or 4 times, you've seen everything there is to offer. Some synergies are fun, most are way overpowered. It's just way too easy. Pirate outlaws or slay the spire are much more fun. Hard pass on this one.

Weekly challenge warrior build. How do you get your companion to act with no companion act cards? They give you a mechanical arm/claw card to play a card from your hand for free. Guess what the cards in your hand are surge cards and shields. Not a single attack. Nothing lets you attack with anything nor tell you how to attack with your companion when you are maxed out on mana by turn 3. So many bugs and bs with this game.

I'll start with the positives and say that the game is reasonably priced and there's a lot of content, so you'll get your moneys worth. On harder difficulties you have maybe one or two builds that work so deck building doesn't really matter. The card design is genuinely awful with linear buildarounds that only function if you get lucky and just a lot of unusable trash. It's not really satisfying to have to force something and either get lucky or not. The working decks are also slow.
