Great app for planning routes also prepared routes for all outdoor sport activities mainly use it for cycling but also get hiking plans as well.

Good app for making routes and planning activities. Bad for leading you through those activities. The voice navigation is extremely confusing. On the map, you are already on the wrong route, but it doesn't tell you that - especially if those are parallel routes, which sometimes doesn't matter, but sometimes matters a lot. The voice instructions are also often misleading - they are too early or too late, it tells you to turn left when you need to turn right, etc. Basically you can't without map.

Great. Use it for all my hike or bike rides. I'd be lost without it! The good thing is that it keeps getting better. Komoot showed a way was virtually impossible while competitor SatNav apps said nothing! I've found it also shows minor paths in the UK in addition to the main ones you can see on Ordnance Survey - one of its competitors doesn't do that. It also shows for the route you are going to do interesting highlights on the way. That is a new addition and extremely useful. So pleased with it

Way too complicated. I just want an app to get me home with confidence that it's going to give me the best and safest biking route. The GPS is off and confusing when taking a new route. You cannot finish a trip without a stupid 5-page survey. Imagine getting the wrong directions and then trying to exit the app but being prompted to fill out stupid gimmicky forms. All while standing on the side of the road. I wanted to jump on Google because its plug and play, but I decided to trust this app.

I generally enjoy this app for the hikes that other people have created, and it's a great way to discover nature in your region and abroad. However, I am deeply frustrated with the app shoving its subscription model down users' throats. I paid for the content via the world pack years ago, and I am still bombarded with subscribe now messages multiple times while using the app. I don't appreciate pushy business tactics and that's primarily why I would now never get premium.

Since Bending Spoons took ownership in Komoot the enshitification is in full swing. Even basic free functions moved behind a paywall. And after the catastrophic reviews of people who made a subscription, it's not getting better with it. The old Komoot was a joy, and for that I'm willing to pay. But not for a product which is lacking developers, because most of them have been fired, to maximize the return. With sadness, I delete the app. No more dark patterns which terrorize me anymore.
