Description
Cyber ninjas are trying to raid your castle and steal your valuable secrets. Stop them at all costs and Defend The Crown!
Defend the Crown is the pilot game for an upcoming series of educational games focused on cybersecurity.
Develop and apply a basic understanding of cyber attack and defense strategies over 3 stages and 18 levels that challenge your wits.
Protect your castle from invading ninjas by placing defenses at strategic locations to combat attacks and protect your resources.
Try to survive three key stages of cybersecurity attacks:
STAND STRONG AGAINST INFILTRATION Build up your tower’s defenses and learn how to defend against growing waves of crafty cyber ninjas.
PUSH BACK PERSISTENT ATTACKS Carefully position your defenses, layering them to prevent your enemies from advancing and stealing all of your assets.
AVOID ESCALATION Stop damaging cyber attacks from breaching the most secure parts of the castle where you hide your precious secrets.
Expand your cybersecurity education by using the Almanac as a guide for how to effectively defeat the ninjas. Learn about ninja strengths and how to combat them by targeting their weaknesses. Layer your defenses by matching the most effective defender available against the nefarious tactics of each cyber attacker.
Choose your defenders and manage resources carefully. Your castle depends on allowing trade to flourish through market stalls and arriving boats. Be careful as these resources can be exploited by attackers and your wealth can dry up fast.
Quick-witted and strategic defenses are the key to securing resources that allow your kingdom to prosper.
Just like defending your castle, cybersecurity requires a layered defense approach to protect your system from an outside threat. Multifactor authentication works as a strong defense against brute force attacks, while user training is a better tool to defeat phishing attacks. Combining multiple cybersecurity techniques will better protect your valuable assets.
Effective cyber defense principles are employed in this game. To learn more about careers in cybersecurity, visit https://niccs.cisa.gov.
Do you have what it takes to be a cyber defender? Fare thee well!
Recent changes: - Fixed a bug where enemies were dealt a killing blow but continued living and got stuck in a bugged state. - Fixed the Heavy Archer being introduced as a new enemy instead of a new defense. - Updated combo cards for the Archer and Heavy Archer to better indicate their strengths.

★★★★★
Very useful if you want to learn about Cybersecurity. I really loved playing it and finished all the levels in 2 days.
★★★★★
Fun game that is also educational about cybersecurity. There are some bugs where in the final levels bad guys can make it to your bank and continually steal your money, and you are unable to kill them. The game is totally winnable. I hope to see a congratulation, or you win at the end, but it was empty like more to come. Overall a very fun addictive game
★★☆☆☆
Greetings from Switzerland. 1. Your game has bugs. 2. One should be thinking as attacker too and not as defender only in order to defend. 3. The first potential sign of a compromise is when one thinks of setting up a system because they can all be hacked. 4. Jeffrey Epstein didn't kill himself, neither did John McAfee nor Edward Snowden or Julian Assange or Alan Turing (and if he did then only after state mandated chemical castration)
