Dialog – Private Messenger

Dialog is a messenger for people who want their conversations to stay theirs.

NO PHONE NUMBER NEEDED
You get a random account number and a password, so you don't have to tie your identity to a SIM card. You can add a username and share a link or QR code instead of your number. Adding a phone number is optional.

END-TO-END ENCRYPTED, ALWAYS
Every chat, group, call, photo, voice message and file is encrypted on your device with the Signal protocol before it leaves your phone. Our server only relays ciphertext: it cannot read your messages, see your name or photo, or know who is writing to whom (sealed sender).

WHAT YOU GET
• One-to-one and group chats, voice and video calls, group calls
• Disappearing messages, also for messages already sent
• View-once photos and voice messages
• Voice effects and an anonymized voice, processed on your device
• Noise suppression in calls, and calls that hold up on a weak connection
• Calls through our relay if you want to hide your IP address
• Phone, tablet and computer (Windows, macOS, Linux), all in sync
• Several accounts in one app, with a quick switch
• Remote wipe: remove a lost phone and its data erases itself
• App lock and local data encrypted with your password
• Message requests: strangers can't call you or see when you're online until you accept
• Report and block spam

OPEN AND HONEST
The apps and the server are open source (AGPL-3.0), so anyone can check what they do. Our server is in Germany, in the European Union. No ads, no tracking, no selling of data. You can even run your own server.

Download Dialog and talk freely.
