Purchased this app at back in 2018, Great value for money, I have no reason to try or look for another. I wish they could add more word games like puzzles etc., for an extra buck though, I know it's a dictionary 😉...

Premium Merriam-Webster dictionary app for android. Simple, intuitive, and does not get in your face like some other *cough* mobi apps. Plus, works offline, only voice aloud word, and Word of the day feature needs an active internet connection. I would recommend the premium version if you can get it. Otherwise, the free version is the same app but includes ads which is an ok compromise.

July 2024. It is annoyingly easy to select a word while scrolling through a definition, and then you inadvertently jump to the definition for that word. And the tabs at the top of recent words is gone, making it more difficult to go back. Any effort to address this? UPDATE: Still no effort to fix this issue? This was in the May 2023 update. Heck, I'd be happy with going back to the way it was before that. Can we at least do that until you guys can figure it out? FEB2026-STILL THE SAME. 🤦

Apparently, the word "premium" in this app title, does not account for much. There are words missing from the listings! The "premium" title is not what it proports to be and this is clearly an abridged version. (An online search of M-W's website claims the word "meself" is in their unabridged version) So, would you pay for something that is incomplete? Also, I paid, but still get ads.
