DIEZ DUO by OtherPay is a secure payments app designed to give cardholders greater control over when and how their card can be used. Built around OtherPay’s intent-based payment security architecture, DIEZ DUO helps ensure that supported transactions can only proceed after the legitimate user has actively confirmed their intent through the app.
Unlike conventional card products that rely mainly on static card details, device access or post-transaction fraud detection, DIEZ DUO introduces a controlled activation step before use. The user securely pairs their DUO card with the mobile app, creating a hardware-bound connection between the card, the app and the user’s device. Once paired, the cardholder can use biometric authentication to unlock the app’s feature menu and select the intended payment function before execution.
DIEZ DUO is designed to support familiar payment experiences while adding an additional layer of user-controlled protection.

For in-store purchases, the user selects “Shop in-store” in the app, completes biometric authentication, and opens a secure window during which the DUO card can be used at a compatible contactless or chip terminal. For higher-value purchases, the app can generate a one-time dynamic PIN for secure entry at the point of sale.
For online purchases, the user selects “Shop online” and confirms their intent before card credentials are made available for use within a defined time window. This helps reduce the risk of card details being used, reused or exposed outside the cardholder’s deliberate activation.
For ATM access, the app can generate a time-bound dynamic PIN after the cardholder has confirmed their intent to withdraw cash. This helps ensure that access to funds is tied to deliberate user activation rather than static credentials alone.
DIEZ DUO also includes additional digital trust and payment control features. Digital Trust is designed to help users verify whether an interaction is legitimate, supporting safer identity confirmation without relying on traditional security questions that may be vulnerable to social engineering. ProtectPlus allows users to set a transaction amount before payment, helping reduce the risk of accidental overcharging or incorrect transaction values.
DIEZ DUO combines the familiarity of everyday card payments with a security-first mobile experience.
